Briefing
Dr. Jiajing Zhou has focused on the development of biomass-based materials (e.g., polyphenols and proteins) for biomedical and environmental applications. The Zhou Lab is trying to answer the fundamental questions concerning the assembly mechanisms of biomolecules and colloids. Meanwhile, emerging materials fabrication methods is another research topic in our team, aiming for versatile functional biomass-based materials. So far, the team has published more than 65 papers in Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Nat. Commun., ACS Nano, and Biomaterials. We envision that bottom-up design of biomass-based materials will create excellent materials for diverse applications and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
